meet your DJs!

Here are brief descriptions of our DJs.

Ken Maas - Owner
Ken started DJ-K Productions in 1990.  Until recently, DJ-K was his full time job since 1994.  Two years ago, Ken decided to pursue his other life-long dream and accepted a teaching position at St. Felicitas Catholic School in San Leandro where he teaches 6th, 7th and 8th grade History and Literature.  He has always been a fan of music, and was involved in plays and musicals in High School and College.  He also performed in numerous musicals with Piedmont Light Opera Theater.  He once appeared on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson where he performed a bird call!  Ken is married and has two great kids, ages 23 and 14.  He (finally!) graduated from Cal State Hayward with a degree in history.  Ken's email is ken@djkproductions.com. 

Daryl Grace - DJ
Daryl has come up the DJ-K ladder... he started as an assistant to the DJs, and gained the experience necessary to become a fantastic DJ on his own.  His ability to connect with kids and adults alike makes him a valuable member of the DJ-K team.  Daryl presently teaches physical education at the Oakland Hebrew Day School.  Daryl recently was married to his lovely bride, Christine (and rumor has it they had an awesome DJ!)  Daryl's email is djdgrace@comcast.net. 

  Chris Williams - DJ
Chris gained his experience by amazing students at school dances and birthday parties with his mixing skills.  He now enjoys providing music for every possible kind of event, where his talents are equally appreciated.  He's a gifted baseball player, and coaches track and cross country at Dublin High school.  Chris's email is coachchriswilliams@yahoo.com. 

  Victor Harris - DJ
Victor has, like Daryl, grown to be an excellent DJ by starting as an assistant with DJ-K.  He's been contributing to the success of DJ-K parties for over seven years, and his unflappable personality is appreciated by both kids and adults.  In his spare time, Victor is a student at Cal State Hayward, and is an accomplished poet.  Victor has also started his own cheesecake business, called Reuschelle's Cheesecakes.  Vic's email is reuschelle@comcast.net.   

  Jon Goldstein - DJ
Jon has worked events with DJ-K Productions for many years.  He is a longtime DJ veteran with the skills to handle any kind of party.  In addition to traveling to Las Vegas (seemingly) constantly, Jon runs a great pumpkin patch for J. Miller flowers in Oakland every October.  Jon's email is jon@goldstein.com.

  Carlos Rolando - Assistant
Carlos has been working as a DJ Assistant for several years, and has grown to enjoy spending time with the kids.  He attends Chabot Junior College, where is anxious to complete fire fighter training so he can fulfill his dream of working in a firehouse and helping people.  He is an impressive bass player in the punk band PDA.  He is also Ken's step-son!
